ValvTechnologies names Gary Marler V.P. of sales and marketing

ValvTechnologies, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of zero-leakage severe service isolation valve solutions, has named Gary Marler V.P. of sales and marketing. Based in Houston, Marler will be responsible for the company’s sales, marketing and service activities worldwide.

For more than 25 years, Marler served at ABB, a technology-based provider of power and automation products, systems, solutions and services; he was most recently V.P. of its U.S. Process Automation Systems business. Prior to that, he served as the president of ABB Vietnam, where he managed all ABB operations in this rapidly developing economy. Additionally Marler held executive sales positions at ABB, including V.P. for North American strategic accounts, V.P. sales and business development, and Western Region V.P.

Marler graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS degree in chemical engineering, and trained at the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
