PALM BEACH, Florida -- Despite the calm and serenity exuded by their South Florida setting, independent U.S. producers have quite a plate full of issues to tackle during the annual meeting of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA). As members convene for their opening sessions on Wednesday afternoon at The Breakers resort in Palm Beach, they will examine the trends and implications surrounding lower oil prices, the effects of the mid-term election results, access to federal lands, punitive environmental regulations and availability of capital, among others.
