Indonesian state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina has awarded Halliburton Co. a multiyear digital transformation contract, Halliburton reported late Monday.
“We are pleased to collaborate with Pertamina on their digital transformation to enable greater efficiency and maximize the value of their assets,” Nagaraj Srinivasan, senior vice president of Halliburton’s Landmark business line and Halliburton Digital Solutions, commented in a written statement.
According to Halliburton, Pertamina has deployed all of its petro-technical applications onto Landmark’s “iEnergy” – a cloud product offering designed to manage an operating company’s exploration and production applications. Halliburton noted the contract will deploy artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics and other capabilities to support Pertmina’s digital transformation efforts. In addition, the contract recipient stated that Pertamina will be able to streamline E&P workflows, improve drilling performance, enhance decision-making and boost production.
“By integrating all third-party, Landmark petro-technical applications and data running on the iEnergy cloud, Pertamina has laid the foundation to generate new insights to further accelerate their digital journey,” stated Srinivasan.
